This is the setup to a kind of lore, I guess, for my Belly Bear comics. I wanted to create a society for them; y'know like a backstory on their life & the way they live.

    1. Belly Bears live to be approximately 600 years old. The oldest, known simply as Silver Bear, lived to be 1,000 years old

    2. The average height of a Belly Bear is 4’0

    3. The average weight of a Belly Bear 200 lbs.

    4. Once a baby Belly Bear reaches maturity (similar to human puberty) at 5 years old, they are sent to a right of passage event called The Cub Convention. A young Belly Bear is sent there to go through hundreds of different talents to seek out their true abilities & role in life. The amount of time it takes to finish a Cub Convention depends on how many cubs are there & how long it takes to discover their abilities. These may take weeks, months, or sometimes (rarely) years.

    5. If a cub misses a Cub Convention, they must wait another 5 years (conventions are held every 5 years to keep count of the cubs & as a means to keep things in order).

    6. However, a cub, with permission from their parents/guardian, can choose to not attend the Cub Convention & independently discover their talent. This is not recommended because it may take a Belly Bear much longer to discover their identity & claim their name. They will be nameless until they have found their talent & then master it.

    7. Baby Belly Bears are born without names, as their names reflect both their talent & meaning in life. They do not receive a name until after they have perfected their talents. Prior to this, they are briefly named after their physical appearance/personality

    8. As Belly Bears go through the Cub Convention & discover their special abilities, they are then under temporary guardianship of Elder Bears who are experts in said ability. The cubs stay with the Elder until they are fully matured & have become experts in their craft.

    9. Belly Bears are born destined to their talents--they cannot exchange or try to rid themselves of their predetermined abilities, as it is a major insult to their culture, the Elder Bears, & King Wholeheart.

    10. However, a Belly Bear can have multiple talents. If a Bear is specialized in one specific skill-- for example, being a body-builder, & also excels in literature, they can keep both. Yet, their first skill is their main talent.

    11. There is an Oracle Bear, known only as Third Eye, who answers any bear’s questions to life, happiness or their own death. If a Third Eye tells a bear about how they will die, said Belly Bear cannot change this & the Oracle Bear can only tell them how to prolong their life, not avoid the death completely.

    12. The Oracle Bear is a title that is passed down from creature to creature, they are predominantly female bears, but only one has been a male of another species ( Third Eye the Sheep)

    13. All Belly Bears live in the monarchy kingdom, Heavenly Paw’s Kingdom & the country is over 10,000 years old. Belly Bears reside in this kingdom, but the country does allow residents from neighboring countries to live there & visit whenever they please (such as The Kingdom of Blended Brethren).

    14. There are other creatures like the Belly Bears, known as Belly Brethren, they have the same culture & once shared the same country as the Heavenly Paw’s Kingdom, but broke away& formed a new territory (as Heavenly Paw’s was overpopulated). The Prime Minister of GoldHeart Valley is Sir Humble-Heart Penguin

    15. The Belly Brethren live in a country called GoldHeart Valley (named after King Wholeheart’s father) & is where the species such as cats, dogs, reptiles, & birds live. King WholeHeart also rules over this territory as well.

    16. King WholeHeart has ruled over Heavenly Paw’s & GoldHeart Valley for about 300 years, his wife was Queen Everlast & had one son, the young Prince.

    17. When a Belly Bear/Brethren dies, the bear’s casket is then filled with various flowers by the funeral attendees & buried in national cemetery: Heavenly Paw’s Burial. They are buried with the tools of their craft

    18. The Belly Bears/Brethren worship a god called Heavenly Paw. There is a Chapel next to the King’s castle called Church of Heavenly Paw

    19. Belly Bears have penguin-like anatomy; plump, chubby bellies, nubby paws/feet & an obvious waddle when moving. They have visible thumbs, but other digits can only be seen via X-rays because their fur & fat cover the rest of them

    20. The Belly Bears have a currency called Bear Bucks & Paw coins

    21. A Belly Bear/Brethren who has committed a serious crime may have their belly symbol stripped of them if the crime fits the punishment.

    22. Crimes against the King, country, murder, or domestic/foreign terrorism, are punishable by either: stripped of title/identity, exile plus stripping, or if the crime is severe enough--death.

    23. When a creature is stripped, a ritual is performed by the Elder Sorcerer, who will then remove the Belly Bear’s/Brethren’s belly symbol & have all knowledge of their talents removed from their minds (all other memories remain the same, but it’s as if they have no knowledge of who they used to be)

    24. If a Belly Bear/Brethren is exiled, they are sent to The Valley of No-Names, a plot of land beyond the border of Heavenly Paw’s Kingdom. This is where the exiled & stripped go to live the rest of their days.

25. Not all of the Belly Bears hibernate like regular bears. It is more of an option & is strongly recommended as Heavenly Paw's Kingdom is known for their harsh winters.
26. Since the Belly Bears/Brethren are magical creatures, their appetite can vary, they are omnivores, but can be vegetarian, vegan, or carnivorous.
27. Belly Bears/Brethren are bipedal & do not walk on all fours
28. Belly Bears/Brethren are usually non-violent & calm & relaxed. They are quite gluttonous & can eat up to 5,000 calories in a single setting
29. Unlike actual bears, Belly Bears have retractable claws hidden underneath 

Hey guys, to all my fans & followers, just wanna let you guys know how I'm doing. I had had a mental & emotional breakdown at work & confessed to my coworkers that I've been having a lot of suicidal tendencies & thoughts. My boss sent me home & recommended I go to the ER, which I did around 4PM, a social worker was helping me get into a mental health clinic to make me better. 8 hours later, the clinic told me that I had no insurance (despite working at my care-giving for a year). So another 4 hours later, another social worker from a clinic that specializes in helping un-insured patients, comes & says she'd love to help me starting tomorrow. I got a couple days off work & may possibly be out for more days if need be. I'm hoping I can actually get the right medication I need & finally stop saying "I'm fine". Please, don't freak out or worry I will be better soon & maybe even have more motivation to draw more instead of wallowing in a pool of self-hatred & depression. So far, I'm trying to keep my head up for the time being
